Kelly Bruce

Managing Consultant
Kelly Bruce has over 15 years’ experience as a consultant, executive manager, researcher and project manager, working with organisations in the NFP sector, Government and with academic and research institutions.
Kelly has a commitment to working with the NFP sector in those areas that impact the long-term success and sustainability of organisations, in particular culture, workforce strategy, financial sustainability, business transitions, stakeholder engagement, policy and framework development and strategic partnerships.
After a career in finance and business management in the private sector Kelly has worked in the NFP community for over fifteen years. She has experience in the community sector, aid and development sector and environmental organisations across a wide range of senior roles including operations, service delivery, project management, policy, research, advocacy, strategy, finance and general management in Canberra and Western Australia as well as internationally. She is also the co-founder and director of kb west advisory, a specialist advisory firm to the Not for Profit (NFP) sector.
Previous projects for Kelly include workforce development and strategy for organisations transitioning to the NDIS, strategic and organisational reviews of large organisations, membership engagement reviews and mentoring and coaching for leadership teams. In addition to these projects she has managed the delivery of mental health services, corporate budgets, strategic plans and operations for a range of NFP organisations.
She has also held board roles in community organisations and is on the Steering Group for the ACT Workforce Impact Collective.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Environmental Management and has undertaken the AICD Company Directors Course. She has proven ability to utilise her multidisciplinary background to support Boards, CEO’s and their organisations to achieve strategic goals and organisational change.

Graham West

Managing Consultant
With the support of some great people, Graham brings over 25 years’ experience in the NFP and Government sectors as a CEO, government minister, Member of Parliament, board member and chair, advisor, systems administrator, analyst, researcher and consultant.
Graham believes in community engagement, collaborative approaches, local environmental strategies, justice reinvestment, effective logistics, data analysis, and getting in and doing things. These have been the driving forces in his working life and his motivations to eliminate poverty and ensure that young people, especially indigenous youth, reach their full potential, with a particular focus on the areas of employment and housing.
Graham is the co-founder and director of kb west advisory, a specialist advisory firm to the Not for Profit (NFP) sector. He has written on poverty, homelessness, NFP’s, youth engagement in decision-making using social networking and Web 2.0, and is a regular speaker on the importance of community development, NFP management, governance, and justice reinvestment.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management and a Master of International Studies. He is an Advanced Fire Fighter with the NSW Rural Fire Service, and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Graham lives in rural NSW with his wife, three kids, two dogs, three chickens, a horse, and an alpaca, which they all share with a bevy of wildlife, including a possum called Steve.
